This exhibition based on the material created by Océanopolis/Brest in a collaborative work with various scientific institutes has opened at the National History Museum of Marseille, in co-production with the City of Marseille on April 15 and for seven months.
Oéanopolis and COLUMBIA RIVER have partnered to offer this exhibition the widest possible worldwide visibility over the coming years.
The exhibition presents the history of knowledge of the incredible living world underwater and its evolution, and the most exceptional areas of biodiversity in the world. It also informs the public of the essential role played by the major equilibriums of our blue planet and of the urgent need to protect them. Fossils, reconstructions, computer generated images, interactive games, films, animations, everything is done to create the sensation that visitors experience an encounter with something of beauty, which stays after they leave the exhibition: between amazement and meditation, a formidable desire to understand, exist and take care...
