2ND ATTEMPT :
JANUARY 1994
"Combat, that’s the history of Man" (Olivier de Kersauson) : Less than one year after his first attempt, Olivier de Kersauson, took off again around the world with an improved boat and a new sponsor, Lyonnaise des Eaux Dumez and its subsidiaries.
Despite the New Zealand team, which were more numerous and more risk, crossing the finish line first, Olivier and his crew members had won their own bet: the five-crew men had accomplished an outstanding performance when they reached Brest after 77 days, 5 hours, 3 minutes and 7 seconds at sea.
