With over two million visitors throughout the world, THE DEEP exhibition is widely acclaimed by the public and media alike.
THE DEEP exhibition (2 traveling versions currently available), produced by COLUMBIA RIVER along with Claire Nouvian (Exhibition Curator), and BLOOM ASSOCIATION has just closed in Chengdu after being open to the public for six months with approximately 200,000 visitors.
The exhibition is continuing its Tour of Asia (www.thedeepchinatour.com) in 2014/2015.
The second version of the exhibition – as a result of its huge success – was open for an extended time in Brest - OCEANOPOLIS (www.oceanopolis.com/Decouvrir-le-Parc/Le-pavillon-biodiversite) throughout 2013. It is due to travel throughout South America for several months (Chile, Brazil, Columbia...).
In a joint effort with BLOOM ASSOCIATION, COLUMBIA RIVER has recently organized the recovery of new deep-sea specimens thanks to a recent oceanography research expedition conducted by NIWA Institute in New Zealand. The specimens captured during this campaign will be prepared by the Taxidermy lab of Paris National Natural History Museum before enriching the collections of specimens presented in the exhibition. www.niwa.co.nz
