Industrial companies and globalization foster progress and hope, but also new fears and conflicts.  Young people of Europe, the United States, the Middle East or elsewhere express their anger on the street and in the media, their difficulty to manage and think about their future, resulting in a fear of insecurity.

By expressing their fears and concerns, they are questioning society as a whole together with its institutions - schools, health, city, companies...

Adults, confronted to young people’s distress, feel helplessness.

Mediation is an approach designed to help overcome the difficulties one might have to communicate with others, taking into account their cultural backgrounds, their singularity and their personal dynamics. It opens new perspectives by offering creative and stimulating practices addressing this willingness to "live together"

The primal objectives of the PI4 initiative are the study of the psychosocial mediation and institutional practices.

PI4 defined its research and training programs based on innovative experiences, which have proven to be successful in their use of institution as a tool to fight against distress, protect the person, and stimulate his/her development or allow its emergence.
